Midwest-based Mia learned to bake and cook at her Grandma’s side. A big reader who always had hidden aspirations of being a writer, this blog will hopefully be a way to get some thoughts in order, share some lessons learned, and eventually be a repository of recipes that have been tweaked and perfected in her kitchen (and are both Mia & husband approved!).
Today, this married dog & cat mom is about to become a mom to a real human, and is dealing with the challenge of gestational diabetes. Expect low(er)-carb recipes that are GD approved! While the name is Better with Sugar, featured recipes will be from every course from starters to entrees and sides, but, of course, also dessert! Anticipate lots of garlic, butter, and instant pot use, and quite a few non-artistic photos.
